Mayor sends police to break up festivities violating Covid-19 lock down. Finds WIFE at the party!

The Mayor of Alton, Illinois sent police officers to break up an illegal party held in violation of the Governor’s Covid-19 stay-at-home order, but was embarrassed to discover his wife there among the party goers.
‘My wife is an adult capable of making her own decisions, and in this instance she exhibited a stunning lack of judgement,’ said the disappointed Mayor. All at the party – including the first lady of Alton – were cited for reckless conduct, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.
